المستخلص: تناول موضوع البحث المحدث شمس الدين محمد بن حسن بن همَّات الدمشقي الاصطنبولي (محدثاً وناقداً) حيث يهدف إلى التعريف به، وإبراز منزلته العلمية، وبيان شيوخه، وتلاميذه، وجميع مؤلفاته الحديثية، وبيان المطبوع منها والمخطوط، وتوضيح منهجه في النقد، وطريقة حكمه على الأحاديث.
وخلص البحث إلى نتائج عديدة من أبرزها:
أن ابن همات قد بلغ مكانة علـمية رفيعة، كما شهد له بذلك مترجموه، ودلت عليه كتبه وقد رحل إلى مصر، والحجاز فدخل مكة، والـمدينة، وغيرها من الـمدن، وأخذ عن كبار مشايخها، ولابن همات رحمه الله اهتمام بعلم الحديث خاصة، وأكثر مؤلفاته كانت فيه.
Abstract: The research topic discusses the scholar of Hadith (narrator), Shams al-Din Muhammad ibn Hasan ibn Hammat al-Dimashqi al-Istanbuli(a muhaddith and critic).
The aim of research, to introduce him, highlight his scholarly status, identify his teachers and students, list all his hadith works, clarify the printed and manuscript versions of his works, explain his method of criticism, and his approach to evaluating hadiths.
The research concluded with several key findings:-
Ibn Hammat had reached a high scholarly status as acknowledged by his biographer and evidenced by his books
He traveled to Egypt, the Hijaz, entered Mecca, Medina, and other cities where he learned from prominent scholars. Ibn Hammaa had a particular interest in the science of hadith, so that most of his works focusing on it.
