تحوي هذه الرسالة مقدمة تتحدث عن التناص بعامة وعن أهمية الدراسات التناصية التطبيقية، وحضور التناص في الساحة النقدية، وتشمل تمهيدًا يحوي مبحثين هما مفهوم التناص، والتعريف بالشاعر محمد حسن فقي، ثم خمسة فصول جاءت عناوينها كالتالي مرتبة: أنواع التناص - آليات التناص - درجات التناص - مستويات التناص - وظائف التناص.
وتم في كل فصل إجراء دراسة نقدية تحليلية وفق المنهج الأسلوبي من خلال ضرب الأمثلة من شعر الشاعر من خلال تناصاته الدينية والأدبية "الشعرية" والتاريخية، والأسطورية والشعبية، مع التعريف اللغوي والنقدي لعناوين الفصول والمباحث والتوطئة لموضوعها العام.
وتبرز أهمية هذا الموضوع من خلال الدراسة التطبيقية على شعر شاعر سعودي ذي إنتاج ضخم جدًا، تتجلى فيه إمكانية دراسة أدوات التناص من خلال التحليل، لكشف الإطار المعرفي لتجربة الشاعر، وعمقها، وذلك من خلال التناصات التي يتفاعل ويتحاور معها لإنتاج دلالات جديدة والإيحاء بأكثر منها للمتلقين.
ومن أبرز نتائج هذه الدراسة: أن الشاعر الفقي كان محاورًا لجميع ما يتناص معه ليعطي دلالات جديدة تتفق مع رؤياه للأفكار وللأشياء، وأن أهم رؤيا له كانت النهضة الاجتماعية بالفرد أخلاقيًا وفكريًا من خلال الاتكاء على جميع أنواع التناص حتى الأسطوري، وأن العدد الأكبر من تناصاته كان تراثيًا دينيًا وتاريخيًا وأدبيًا مما يدل على ثقافته الواسعة، وربطه لنهضة الحاضر بثوابت الماضي

- This dissertation contains an introduction to intertextuality in general and the importance of practical intertextual studies, and presence of intertextuality in the arena of literary criticism. It further contains a preface that contains two research sections: the concept of intertextuality and introduction of the poet Muhammad Hasan Faqi, and five chapters with the titles below:
Types of Intertextualities – Mechanisms of Intertextuality – Degrees of Intertextuality - Levels of Intertextuality – Functions of Intertextuality.
- In every chapter, a critical analytical study was conducted according to the structural stylistic methodology by citing examples from the poet's poems through his religious, literary (poetic), historic, legendary, and local intertextualities and giving a linguistic and critical literary definition of the titles of chapters and research sections and introducing their general themes.
- Importance of this topic is demonstrated through the applied study of the poems of a Saudi poet who has a very huge collection of poems in which the possibility to study intertextuality tools by means of analysis to expose the cognitive framework of the poet's experience and its depth is portrayed. This was achieved through the intertextualities with which he interacts and negotiates to produce new connotations and suggest more of them to the recipients.

The poet al-Faqi dialogued with all his intertextualities to give new connotations compatible with his visions about concepts and things and his most important vision was the individual social renaissance in terms of manners and thought by employing all types of intertextualities including legendary. Most of his intertextualities were traditional, religious, historic, and literary, which indicates his cultural level to a very great extent and his linking of the renaissance of the present with the constants of the past
