الأقسام الرئيسية في البحث: تكونت الرسالة من مقدمة وتمهيد، وثلاثة أبواب وخاتمة، ومذيلة بفهارس علمية.
اشتملت المقدمة على بيان موجز لأهمية دراسة السيرة النبوية، وأسباب اختيار الموضوع، وأهميته، وأهدافه، والدراسات السابقة، وبيان عدد الترجيحات، وخطة البحث، والمنهج فيه، كما اشتمل التمهيد على التعريف بالمؤلف والكتاب، وفي الباب الأول تحدثت عن اختيارات الصالحي في العهد المكي، وفي الباب الثاني عن اختياراته في العهد المدني، وفي الباب الثالث عن شمائل النبي ، وخصائصه، وعن وآله وما ورد في فضائلهم، وعن مرضه، وووفاته.
وذكرت في نهاية الدراسة الخاتمة وأبرز النتائج والتوصيات مع الفهارس العلمية.

ومن أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها الباحث.
1- أظهرت الدراسة أن هذا الكتاب رغم أنه طبع بتحقيقين مختلفين، لم يحظ بالاهتمام الذي يستحقه كأحد معالم الثقافة الإسلامية، فقد ظهرت الأخطاء المطبعية الفنية والعلمية الكثيرة من التصحيف والتحريف وسقط كبير، في كلا الطبعتين، بحيث تظهر الحاجة إلى إعادة طبعه وفق قواعد التحقيق العلمي.
2- بينت الدراسة أن القول الذي يختاره الصالحي في أحداث السيرة، لا يخرج في الغالب عن القول المشهور عند أهل السير والمغازي.
3- رغم سعة وشمولية سيرة الصالحي إلا أنها لم يخلو عرضه في بعض الموضوعات على التناقض والاضطراب ووقوعه في بعض الأوهام.
Abstract: Title of the research: Choices of Muhammad bin Yusuf Al-Salihi (died 942 AH - 1536 AD) in the Prophet's biography through his book Subul Al-Huda wa Al-Rashad fi Sirat Khair Al-Abad (Collection and Study).
Methodology: The researcher used the critical inductive method , which is based on trakcing the choices of Al Salihi from the Prophet's biography, and studying this critically with discussing them in the light of the words of the scholars.
The main sections of the research: The thesis consisted of an introduction and a preface, three chapters and a conclusion, and an appendix with scientific indexes.
The introduction included a brief statement of importance of the study of the Prophet's biography, the reasons for choosing the topic, its importance, objectives, previous studies, and the number of preferences, the research plan, and the methodology therein, The preface included an introduction to the author and the book, In the first chapter I talked about Al Salihi's choices in the Meccan era, in the second chapter about his choices in the Madinah era, and in the third chapter about the merits of the Prophet PBUH, and his characteristics, and about his family and what is mentioned in their virtues, and about his illness, and his death.
At the end of the study I mentioned the conclusion and the most prominent results and recommendations with scientific indexes.

The most important results that the researcher reached are:
1. The study showed that this book, although it was printed with two different investigations, did not receive the attention it deserves as one of the Features of Islamic culture, many technical and scientific typographical errors of correction and distortion have appeared and there was a great fall in both editions, that there is a need to reprint it according to the rules of scientific investigation.
2. The study showed that the statement chosen by Al Salhi in the events of the biography often does not depart from the famous saying of the people of biography and Maghazi.
3. Despite the breadth and comprehensiveness of Al Salhi's biography, it was not without contradiction and turmoil in some subjects, and its occurrence in some illusions.
