يرتبط علم الحديث بوصفه أحد العلوم الشرعية, بعلم الدلالة بوصفه أهم مستويات اللغة العربية التي هي مفتاح النصوص الشرعية التي تستنبط منها الأحكام. قال الشافعي رحمه الله:
" ما أردت بها (يعني اللغة) إلا الاستعانة على الفقه "( ).
ونظرا لهذه العلاقة الوطيدة بين هذه العلوم( الحديث واللغة والفقه)، آثرت أن يكون موضوع أطروحتي ( أثر تعدد الرواية في المعنى) متخذا (أحاديث عمدة الأحكام) ميدانا تطبيقيا لذلك, لأن أهمية هذا الموضوع لا تظهر إلا في أحاديث الأحكام, وكتاب (عمدة الأحكام ) من خيرة كتب الأحكام المختصرة.
تضمن هذا البحث تمهيدا, وثلاثة فصول, وخاتمة, اهتم التمهيد بتعريف الرواية والمعنى. وجاء الفصل الأول ليبيّن أن تحديد الدلالة اللفظية قد يتوقف عليها تقرير الحكم الشرعي, والفصل الثاني اعتنى الباحث فيه بالدور الذي يؤديه اختلاف التراكيب, وأما الفصل الثالث فقد ذكر الباحث أن الإعراب له تأثير بيِّنٌ في الأحكام الفقهية وتوجيهها؛ وأن المعاني تختلف باختلاف وجوه الإعراب.
ويهدف هذا البحث من كل هذا إلى إبراز الفروق الدقيقة التي بين هذه الروايات ومدى تأثيرها في الأحكام الفقهية, وإلى بيان من يشتغلون في الدراسات الفقهية إلى التضلع من العلوم اللغوية بالقدر الذي يمكنهم من فهم الشريعة, واستنباط الأحكام, إذ لا يتأتى للفقيه فهم الأحكام الفقهية بمنـأى عن فهم اللغة التي أنبت عليها تلك الأحكام.
وكان من نتائج هذا البحث أني كشفت عن دور الحركات والإبدال والقلب والتقديم والتأخير وتعدد التوجيه النحوي في فهم النص النبوي واختلاف الأحكام الشرعية, لأن بعضا من هذه الألفاظ تكون حاملة لأكثر من معنى, ونتيجة لذلك فالنص يحمل أيضا أكثر من معنى.

The science of hadith is one of the Islamic sciences that has a link and a relationship with (semantics), which is the most important science related to the Arabic language, which is considered a key to understand the texts of Sharia and from which the rulings are derived, as Imam al-Shafi’i, - may Allah have mercy on him - said: “I wanted to learn the Arabic language in order to use it to understand the religion.” Because of the importance of this relationship between these sciences (hadith, language, and jurisprudence), I chose to have my thesis entitled: (The effect of multiple narratives on understanding the meaning of texts) by applying (hadiths of Umdat Al Ahkam) to demonstrate these relationships and interconnectedness between these sciences, because the importance of this topic lies in explanation of hadiths of “Umdat Al Ahkam” which is one of the best books that explains rulings in this field. The present study aimed at highlighting the differences that lie between these narrations and the extent of their influence on jurisprudential rulings, as well demonstrating the necessity of understanding the Arabic language for those who work in jurisprudence studies, since language is what enables them to understand Sharia and the ability to derive Sharia rulings. A scholar cannot understand the jurisprudential rulings without understanding the language that explains the meanings and rulings. The research, in its general framework, consists of an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. The preface deals with the definition of the narrative and its meaning. As for the first chapter, it dealt with defining the verbal connotation, while the second chapter dealt with the role that leads to different compositions, and as for the third chapter, the researcher highlighted that syntax has an effect on jurisprudential rulings, and the understanding of the meanings differs according to the different aspects of the linguistic syntax.
