تكمن مشكلة هذا البحث في عدم وجود معجم ثنائي (عربي -صومالي) كامل يتناول مفردات كتب دروس اللغة العربية لغير الناطقين بها، إذ إن المعجم الموجود هو من الهمزة إلى الزاي، وتكملته تلبي حاجات الطلاب الناطقين باللغة الصومالية.
يهدف هذا البحث إلى بيان الكلمات العربية من حرف السين الى حرف الياء في كتب دروس اللغة العربية لغير الناطقين بها، وإيجاد معجم ثنائي اللغة (عربي –صومالي) لتلك الكلمات.
واتبع الباحث المنهج الوصفي.
أهم نتائج البحث: توصل الباحث إلى:
1- صناعة معجم مشتمل على ألفاظ وكلمات من كتب دروس اللغة العربية، بدءً من حرف السين إلى حرف الياء، وشرحها باللغة الصومالية.
2-تحديد أسس بناء المعجم الثنائي (عربي -صومالي) في كتب دروس اللغة العربية لغير الناطقين بها.
3-إعداد قائمة من الكلمات التي وردت في كتب دروس اللغة العربية من حرف السين إلى حرف الياء، وتحديد نسبة كل كلمة في ورودها في تلك الكتب وحصر أعدادها.

The Arabic language occupies a great position among the languages of the world, and teaching it to non-native speakers requires several skills. The present study aimed at clarifying the meanings of Arabic words from the letter (Sieen) to the letter (Yaa) in the Arabic language lessons books for non-native speakers, as well as composing a bilingual dictionary (Arabic - Somali). In order to achieve the goals of the research relied on the descriptive approach, and the problem of the research is that there is no complete dictionary that includes two languages (Arabic - Somali) related to the vocabulary of Arabic language lessons books for non-native speakers, except for one incomplete dictionary that starts from the letter (Hamza) to the letter (Zaai) so composing an integrated dictionary provides the needs of Somali-speaking students. The research, in its general framework reached a number of results, the most important of which are the following: Composing a dictionary that includes words from the Arabic language lessons books, starting from the letter (Sieen) to the letter (Yaa) and explaining the meaning in Somalia language, which will help students to understand the Arabic language. Determine the important foundations for building the dictionary of the two languages (Arabic-Somali) consisting of: the purpose of writing, collecting scientific material, classifying it, and arranging it in a scientific order, then explaining the meanings. The comprehensive list of all the words mentioned in the Arabic language lessons books has been prepared, from the letter (Sieen) to the letter (Yaa), and the number and percentage of all the words of the books have also been determined.
