ثانياً: أن ابن فتحون قصد بتأليفه إكمال ما بدأه ابن عبد البر في الاستيعاب، لا إظهار العجز والتقصير.
ثالثاً: أن الاستلحاق لابن فتحون هو أوسع الكتب التي وضعت ذيلاً على الاستيعاب.
رابعاً: أن ابن فتحون انفرد بأربع وستين ومئتين ترجمة لم تذكر في كتب تراجم الصحابة، منها سبع وستون ومئة ترجمة لم يذكرها ابن حجر في ترجمة مستقلة في الإصابة.
خامساً: أن ابن فتحون وهم في أربع وخمسين ترجمة.
Abstract: The thesis revolves around tracing the texts of the book "Al-Istilhaq" by Ibn Fathoun, which is a book on the biographies of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them. Its origin is an appendage to the book "Al-Istihab" by Ibn Abd al-Barr, The number of biographies that I collected from the missing part of the book reached One thousand, three hundred and sixteen (1316) biographies of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, arranged in alphabetical order.

Research Results:
First: Collecting the texts of Ibn Fathoun’s book "Al-Istilhaq" in one book that unites their scattered contents.
Second: Ibn Fathoun wrote the work with the intention to complete what Ibn Abd al-Barr started in "Al-Istihab", not to show the author's incapability and fault.
Third: The book "Al-Istilhaq" by Ibn Fathoun is the largest of the books placed as appendage to the book "Al-Istihab".
Fourth: Ibn Fathoun uniquely presented two hundred and sixty-four biographies that were not mentioned in the books of the Companions' biographies, of which Ibn Hajar did not mention one hundred and sixty-seven biographies in separate biography in his work "al-Isabah".
Fifth: Ibn fathoun made mistake in fifty-four of the biographies in his work.
