Title Fath Al-Bari, an Explanation of Al-Bukhari, by Hafiz Abi Al-Fadl Ahmad Bin Ali Bin Hajar Al-Asqalani (d. 852 AH) from the chapter ( if an Imam sent a messenger on purpose) from the fard elkhomos book, till the chapter when Allah said ( the speech of the mercy of Allah upon his worshiper zakaria) from the prophets book).

المستخلص: الحمد لله، والصَّلاة والسَّلام على رسول الله. أمَّا بعد:
فهذه الرِّسالة بعنوان: "فتح الباري بشرح البُخاري، للحافظ أبي الفضل أحمد بن علي بن حجر العسقلاني (ت 852 هـ) من (باب إذا بعث الإمام رسولًا في حاجة) من كتاب فرض الخمس، إلى (باب قول الله تعالى: (ﭓ ﭔ ﭕ ﭖ ﭗ )) من كتاب الأنبياء".
وهي تنتظم ضمن مشروع علميٍّ مكوَّن من عدَّة رسائل؛ لدراسة جميع الكتاب وتحقيقه.
والمنهج الـمُتَّبع فيها هو منهج تحقيق المخطوطات، وتم اعتماد ثلاث نُسخٍ خطيَّة لقسمي:
أوَّلًا: المجلد السادس بخط ابن حرمي من نسخة مكتبة الفاتح، باستنبول رقمه (914).
ثانيًا: المجلد الخامس بخط السنباطي من نسخة الأزهرية، رقم (832).
ثالثًا: والمجلد الخامس بخط الجيزي من نسخة المكتبة الأزهرية رقم (7484).
وقد جاءت الرِّسالة في: مُقدّمة، وقسمين، وخاتمة، وفهارس.
فأمَّا الـمُقدِّمة ففيها بيانُ أهمِّيَّة الموضوع، وأسباب اختياره، والـمقدار الـمُحقَّق، والطبعات السَّابقة، وخِطّة الرسالة، ومنهَج التَّحقيق.
وأمَّا القسم الأوَّل فهو: قسم الدِّراسة، ويتضمَّن فصلين:
الفصل الأول: ترجمة موجزة للحافظ ابن حجر. وفيه تسعة مباحث.
الفصل الثاني: دراسة كتاب "فتح الباري بشرح صحيح البخاري"، ومقدِّمته. وفيه ستة مباحث.
وأمَّا القسم الثَّاني فهو: النَّصُّ الـمُحقَّق، وهو من (باب إذا بعث الإمام رسولًا في حاجة) من كتاب فرض الخمس، إلى (باب قول الله تعالى: (ﭓ ﭔ ﭕ ﭖ ﭗ )) من كتاب الأنبياء.
ثمَّ الخاتمة: وفيها أهم نتائج البحث والتوصيات.
ثم الفهارس العلميَّة، وفيها اثنا عشر فهرسًا.
وصلَّى الله وسلَّم وبارك على عبده ورسوله نبيِّنا محمَّد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.
Abstract: Praise be to God and prayer and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. As for what follows:
This thesis is entitled: “Fath Al-Bari, an Explanation of Al-Bukhari, by Hafiz Abi Al-Fadl Ahmad Bin Ali Bin Hajar Al-Asqalani (d. 852 AH) from the chapter ( if an Imam sent a messenger on purpose) from the fard elkhomos book, till the chapter when Allah said ( the speech of the mercy of Allah upon his worshiper zakaria) from the prophets book).
The thesis is part of a project, consisting of a number of theses, dealing with a study of the book and a verification of its contents.
The method followed is the method of verifying manuscripts, where three written copies were relied upon:
First : the sixth folder by ebn Haramy from the copy of El Fateh library, Istanbul number (914) .
Secondly : the fifth folder by El Sonbaty from El Azharia copy number (832) .
Thirdly : and the fifth folder by Algizy from El Azharia library copy number (7484).
The thesis was divided into: an introduction, two sections, a conclusion, and indexes.
The introductions comprises the importance of the topic, the reasons for choosing it, the amount of the book which was verified, a look at the previous editions of the book, the plan of the thesis, and the method of verification.
As for the first section, it is a study of the book, and it includes two chapters:
Chapter One: a brief biography of Hafiz Ibn Hajar, over nine sub-headings.
Chapter Two: A Study of the book “Fath Al-Bari, an explanation of Sahih Al-Bukhari”, and its introduction. It contains six sub-headings.
As for the second section, it is: the verified text, which is from the chapter ( if an Imam sent a messenger on purpose) from the fard elkhomos book, till the chapter when Allah said ( the speech of the mercy of Allah upon his worshiper zakaria) from the prophets book).
Then the conclusion, which contains the most important results of the research and recommendations, is mentioned.
Then the various indices and table of contents - twelve in total - are put forth.
