This thesis is entitled: Fath al-Bari li Sharh al-Bukhari by al-Hafiz Abu al-Fadl Ahmad bin Ali bin Hajar al-Asqlani (dec. 852), from the beginning of the Chapter, 'Whoever performs ablution whilst in the state of impurity, then washes the rest of his body without returning to the limbs that he washed whilst performing ablution" from the Book of Purification, until the end of the Chapters on Facing the Qiblah from the book of Prayer - a study and investigation -.
It is one of the theses of the project concerning a study of the book and its verification, in its entirety.
The methodology followed is that of the verification of manuscripts, where three manuscripts were relied on:
1- The copy preserved in the (Shahid Ali) Library in Istanbul No: (441), and I used it as the basis of the verification.
2- Ibn Harami's copy: The first volume of which is preserved in the (al-Fatih) Library in Istanbul No: (910), and the second volume of it is preserved in the (Ayasofia) Library in Istanbul No: (643).
3- The copy saved in the (Ahmad Agha) Library in Istanbul No: (111).
The thesis was divided into an introduction, two sections, a conclusion, and indices.
As for the introduction, it comprises the importance of the topic, the reasons for its selection, the amount which was verified, a word about the previous publications, the plan of the thesis, and the methodology of verification.
As for the first section, it is: the study section, and it includes two chapters:
Chapter One: a brief biography by al-Hafiz ibn Hajar, consisting of nine sub-sections.
Chapter Two: the study of the book “Fath al-Bari bi Sharh al-Bukhari”, and its introduction, comprising six sub-topics.
As for the second section, it is the verified text, which is from the beginning of: beginning of the Chapter, 'Whoever performs ablution whilst in the state of impurity, then washes the rest of his body without returning to the limbs that he washed whilst performing ablution", from the Book of Purification, until the end of the Chapters on Facing the Qiblah, from the book of Prayer.
Then the conclusion is mentioned, which contains the most important results of the research and recommendations.
Then the various indices, twelve in number, are included. twelve indexes.
