الأقسام الرئيسية للبحث:
القسم الأول: دراسة عن ابن أبي حاتم وكتابه "الجرح والتعديل" ، ومنهجه فيه. ويتضمن ثلاثة فصول، الفصل الأول: ترجمة لابن أبي حاتم، والفصل الثاني: تعريف بكتاب "الجرح والتعديل "، والفصل الثالث: منهج المؤلف وموارده في كتابه.
2- القسم الثاني: النص المحقق.
أبرز نتائج البحث: 1-أن هذا الكتاب يعد من المصادر الرئيسية التي حوت أقوال أئمة الجرح والتعديل في الرواة مما جعله مصدراً مهماً كذلك في توثيق أقوالهم. 2-وجود شبه كبير بين هذا الكتاب، وبين "التاريخ الكبير" للبخاري. 3- استقلالية كتاب "الجرح والتعديل" عن "التاريخ الكبير". 4- أن لابن أبي حاتم اختيارات واجتهادات يستقل بها في الأحكام على الرواة.
Abstract: Thesis Title: A study and investigation of the book titled “Al-Jarh Wat-Ta'deel”، authored by Abdulrahman Ibn Abi Hatim Al-razi (d.327 AH)، from (The chapter naming those whom knowledge was narrated from، whose names were Dhayaal) until the end of (The character mentioning those whom knowledge was narrated from، who were named salameh and were not ascribed to anyone).
Thesis Topic: Investigation a selected portion from the book titled“Al-Jarh Wat-Ta'deel”، authored by Abdulrahman Ibn Abi Hatim Al-razi، and he study of it (as part of an educational project containing several theses).

1. Module One: A Study of Ibn Abi Hatim، His book، and His methodology in the book. Consisting of three sections:
a. Section One: A Biography of Ibn Abi Hatim
b. Section Two: An Introduction to the Book: “Al-Jarh Wat-Ta'deel”
c. Section Three: The Methodology of the Author and His Sources
2. Module Two: The edited text.
Main conclusions of Thesis:
1.This work is considered from the main sources used in authenticating the statements of scholars regarding the status of the narrators of hadith.
2. There is great similarity between this book and the book “At-Tareeqh Al-Kabeer” authored by Al-Bukhari.
3. The independence of the authorship of “Al-Jarh Wat-Ta'deel” as it relates to the authorship of “At-Tareeqh Al-kabeer”.
5. The author Ibn Abi Hatim hashis own individual stances and research- based opinions with regards to the rulings upon the narrators.
