ألّفَ العلّامة عبدُ الرحمن بنُ محمد النتيفي (ت. 1385هـ) كتاب «توفيق الله في الرد على حكم ابن عطاء الله» للردّ على كتاب «الحكم العطائية» لابن عطاء الله السكندري (ت. 709هـ)، وعلى شرحه لكلٍّ من: ابن عَبَّاد النَّفْزِي (ت. 792هـ) وابنِ عَجِيبَة (ت. 1224هـ).
وقد قام الباحث بتحقيق الجزء الثاني من الكتاب، على نسخةٍ خطيةٍ وحيدة، محفوظةٍ بمكتبة ناسخ المخطوط: الشيخ محمد الروداني، الكائنة لدى ورثته.
وقام الباحث بالتعليق على النصّ المحقّق بما يخدمه، ومهّد له بتمهيدٍ يتضمّن التّعريف بابن عطاء الله وكِتابه الحِكَم، وبابن عبّاد وشَرحه، وبابن عجيبة وشَرحِه: «إيقاظ الهِمَم»، ثمّ أجرى الباحَثُ دراسةً حولَ المؤلِّف والكِتاب، تضمَّنت ترجَمةَ المؤلِّفِ من أهمّ جوانب حياتهِ العلميّة، ودراسةَ موضوعِ الكِتاب، وموارِدِه، ومنهجِ مؤلِّفه، مع تحقيق عنوان الكتاب، ونسبته للمؤلف، ثم دراسة النُّسَخ الخطية.
وتظهر أهمّية الكتاب المحقّق من جهة أنّه ردٌّ عقديٌّ سنّيٌّ، على أحَد أشهَر الكُتُب الصُّوفية، مع أهمِّ شروحه، وشَمِل الرّدُّ: التنبيه على الانحرافات التي وقعُوا فيها، والردّ عليها بالوحي والعقل.

The great scholar 'Abdurrahman bin Muhammad an-Natifi (d. 1385 e.h) wrote the book: (Tawfiqullah in Refuting the Aphorisms by Ibn 'Ata'ullah) to refute the book: (al-Hikam al-'Ata'iyyah), by Ibn 'Ata'ullah as-Isakandari (d. 709 e.h.), and the explanations of the book by: Ibn Abbad an-Nafzi (d. 792 e.h.) and Ibn Ajibah (d.1224 e.h.).
The researcher made a verification of the second part of the book, based on only one handwritten manuscript. That manuscript was preserved in the library of the manuscript scribe Shaykh Muhammad ar-Rudani, which is in the hands of his heirs.
The researcher wrote comments on the verificated text to make it easier to understand. He also wrote a preface that included the following: a presentation of Ibn 'Ata'ullah and his book about Aphorisms, a presentation of Ibn 'Abbad and his explanation of the book, a presentation of Ibn Ajibah and his explanation of the book by the name: ('Iyqadh al-Himam).
The researcher continued after that by writing a study about the author and his book. That study contained the following: a biography of the author and the most important aspects of his life as a scholar, a study of the book's context, the sources of the book and the author's methodology. It also included a verification of the title of the book and its attribution to the author, as well as a study of the handwritten manuscripts.
The importance of the verified book is apparent, because it is a refutation based on the Sunni creed on one of the most famous Sufi books and its most important explanations. The refutation included a warning against the deviations that the authors fell into and refuting them by using the revelation and the intellect.
