المقدمة: تحدث فيها عن ضرورة العناية بالسيرة النبوية، وأسباب اختيار الموضوع، وأورد تحليلا وتقويما لأهم المصادر.
الباب الأول: في التعريف ببني المصطلق وموقفهم من الإسلام، وضمنه خمسة فصول: بنو المصطلق نسبهم وديارهم، موقف بني المصطلق من الدعوة الإسلامية قبل المريسيع، موقف المسلمين من تحركات بني المصطلق، سبب وتاريخ غزوة بني المصطلق، وصف غزوة بني المصطلق ونتائجها.
الباب الثاني: تكلم عن النفاق وأثره السيئ، وضمنه ثلاثة فصول: دور المنافقين في المجتمع الإسلامي قبل غزوة المريسيع، إثارة المنافقين العصبية في غزوة المريسيع، اختلاق المنافقين حادثة الإفك.
الباب الثالث: تحدث عن حادثة الإفك وما يتعلق بها من مسائل، وأدرج تحته ثلاثة فصول: الخائضون في حادثة الإفك وتنفيذ الحد، مواقف بعض الصحابة من حادثة الإفك، فوائد في المصطلح مستنبطة من حادثة الإفك.
الباب الرابع: الأحكام والعبر المستنبطة من غزوة المريسيع، وأدرج تحته فصلين: الأحكام الفقهية المستنبطة من غزوة المريسيع، الدروس والعبر المستفادة من هذه الغزوة.
الخاتمة: لخص الباحث مضمون رسالته وما قدمت من جديد في الساحة العلمية كترجيح الباحث أن بني المصطلق من العرب القحطانية وأن منازلهم كانت بين مر الظهران والأبواء اليوم.
Abstract: The researcher divided the thesis into introduction, four sections and conclusion. The introduction comprises the need to give concern to the history of the prophet, reasons for selecting the topic, and presentation and analysis important sources. Section one: introduction to Bani Al-Mustaliq and their position on Islam ; this is in five chapters: Bani Al-Mustaliq their lineage and residence, position of Bani Al-Mustaliq on the propagation of Islam before Al-Muraisee’, position of the Muslims on the activities of Bani Al-Mustaliq, causes and date of the battle of Bani Al-Mustaliq, description of the battle of Bani Al-Mustaliq and its results. Section two: hypocrisy and its evil impacts; this is in three chapters: role of the hypocrites in the Muslim community before the battle of Al-Muraisee’, attempt of the hypocrites to bring up tribal sentiment during the battle of Al-Muraisee’, disagreement between the hypocrites on the event of falsehood. Section three: events of falsehood and related matters; this is in three chapters: those who participated in the event of falsehood and execution of their penalty, position of some companions on the event of falsehood, conceptual benefits derived from the event of falsehood. Section four: rulings and lessons derived from the battle of Al-Muraisee’; this is in two chapters: rulings of jurisprudence derived from the battle of Al-Muraisee’, and lessons derived from this battle.
