المستخلص: الملخص: تهدف هذه الورقة الى بيان الجهود الرامية الى تنويع مصادر الدخل في المملكة العربية السعودية خلال الفترة، 2008 – 2018م، وتقييم تلك الجهود ونتائجها بالتركيز على خطط التنمية الاقتصادية المنفذة في تلك الفترة، ومن ثم فإن هذه الدراسة تهدف بشكل أساسي إلى إلقاء الضوء على ما بذل من جهد في سبيل تحقيق أحد أهم الأهداف الاستراتيجية للاقتصاد الوطني السعودي ممثلاً في تنويع مصادر الدخل وإبراز النتائج المتحققة في هذا الجانب. تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. ومن أهم النتائج التي تم التوصل إليها أن تنويع مصادر الدخل من خلال تنويع القاعدة الاقتصادية، مثّل أهم الأولويات والتوجهات العامة المتعددة التي قامت عليها خطط التنمية خلال فترة الدراسة. وكذلك تعددت وتنوعت وسائل تنويع مصادر الدخل المستخدمة، وأن الجهود المبذولة لتنويع مصادر الدخل اتسمت بالتنوع والشمول والتكامل. وأن النتائج المتحققة في إطار جهود تنويع مصادر الدخل الأداء الجيد للاقتصاد السعودي. ومن أهم التوصيات التي تقدمت بها الدراسة مواصلة الجهود الحثيثة والجادة، الرامية الى تنويع مصادر الدخل بتطوير مزيد من الوسائل والبرامج والسياسات المتنوعة والمتكاملة. وكذلك تعميق عملية تنويع القاعدة الاقتصادية بالتركيز على التنويع متعدد الأبعاد رأسيا وأفقياً وتقنياً ومناطقياً.

Abstract: Abstract: The aim of this study is the statement of efforts to diversify sources of income in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period 2008 - 2018, and the evaluation of these efforts and their results, focusing on the economic development plans implemented in that period, so this study aims mainly to shed light on the efforts made to achieve one of the most important strategic objectives of the Saudi national economy represented in the diversification of sources of income and to highlight the results achieved in this aspect.The analytical descriptive and econometrics approach are used. It is expected that the study will reach results to ascertain the effectiveness of efforts within the framework of the economic development plans in achieving the goal of diversifying the sources of income and thus benefiting the economic policy makers and economic development planners in completing their efforts to renaissance and prosperity of the national economy. Among the most important results that were reached is diversification of income sources through diversification of the economic base, representing the most important priorities and the many general directions on which development plans were based during the study period. Likewise, the means used to diversify the sources of income used were varied and diversified, and that the efforts made to diversify the sources of income were characterized by diversity, inclusion and complementarity. The results achieved in the framework of efforts to diversify sources of income are a good performance of the Saudi economy. Among the most important recommendations made by the study is to continue the determined and serious efforts aimed at diversifying the sources of income by developing more diverse, integrated means, programs and policies. As well as deepening the process of diversification of the economic base by focusing on diversification in various dimensions vertically, horizontally, technically and regionally.
