المستخلص: تعد التداولية اتجاهاً لسانياً معاصراً يعنى بالكشف عن خصائص اللغة في سياق الاستعمال، فهو يبحث في المقاصد والوظائف التي تؤديها اللغة ويرصد لحركتها وتفاعلها في الخطاب. وتتداخل التداولية مع عدد من الاتجاهات اللسانية، ومن أبرزها ’الاتجاه الوظيفي‘ الذي تسلك مساره عدد من النظريات الوظيفية المختلفة التي –بشكل عام- تتفق حول مركزية ’التواصل‘ بوصفه الوظيفة الأساسية للغة. وهذه النظريات ليست على طريقة واحدة؛ إذ لكلٍّ منها خصائصها وسماتها التي تميـّزها عن غيرها، ومن هذه الخصائص ما يتعلق بطبيعة العلاقة بالتداولية وطريقة التعاطي معها. ومحور النقاش في هذه الورقة هو البحث عن العلاقة بين التداولية والنظرية النظامية الوظيفية التي أسس لها اللغوي مايكل هاليداي، وهي نظرية تنظر إلى اللغة بوصفها نظاماً من المعاني التي ترتبط بالسياق الاجتماعي والثقافي؛ لذا تهتم بتحليل اللغة في سياق استعمالها وبالكشف عن وظائف التواصل اللغوي، ويرجع سبب اختيار هذه النظرية من بين النظريات الوظيفية الأخرى إلى الغياب الواضح لمصطلح التداولية في أدبيات هذه النظرية وتطبيقاتها، مما يَشي بأن أصحابها قد تجاهلوا المفاهيم التداولية ولم يلقوا لها بالاً. وقد توصل هذا البحث –بعد الرجوع إلى مصادر ومراجع النظرية والبحث في مصطلحاتها وسياقاتها- إلى توضيح طبيعة العلاقة بين التداولية والنظرية النظامية الوظيفية، وذلك من خلال رصد المفاهيم التي تتبانها النظرية والتي – في الوقت نفسه- تشتمل على أبعاد تداولية، ومن أبرز هذه المفاهيم: الدلالة والمعنى والاختيار والسياق والوظائف التي تؤديها اللغة.

Abstract: Pragmatics is a contemporary linguistic trend that detects the characteristics of language in use. It examines the purposes and the intentions that language performs and monitors its interaction in the discourse. Pragmatics intercrosses with a number of linguistic trends, most notably the Functional trend, which is adopted followed by a number of different functional theories which are, in general, consistent with the centrality of 'communication' as the main function language. These theories, however, are not in the same way; each one has its own characteristics that distinguish it from others. One of these characteristic is related to nature of the relationship with pragmatics. The focus of the discussion in this paper is to search for the relationship between pragmatics and Systemic Functional Linguistics theory founded by Michael Halliday, a theory that views language as a system of meanings that are related to the social and cultural context; therefore it analyzes the language in the context of its use and the disclosure of the functions of linguistic communication. The reason for choosing this theory among functional theories is due to the apparent absence of the term 'pragmatics' in the literature and applications of this theory. This signals that the linguists who are following this theory may ignore the pragmatic concepts and paid no attention to it. This research, - after referring to the sources and references of theory and research in its terms and contexts- has been able to clarify the nature of the relationship between pragmatics and functional systemic theory, by tracing and monitoring the concepts of the theory adopts, which, at the same time, contain pragmatic dimensions. The most prominent concepts are: semantics, meaning, choice, context and the functions that language performs.
