المستخلص: • التعريف بعلم طبقات الرواة عند المحدثين، من حيث: حقيقته، ونشأته، والأصل فيه، وأهميته، وثمرته، ومناهج الأئمة في التقسيم على الطبقات، والمصنفات فيه. • منهج البحث: تحليلي وصفي. • أقسامه: مقدمة ثم سبعة مباحث. • أبرز نتائجه: 1- أهمـّـــيّة علم الطّبقات، وعظيم الحاجة إليه، وكثرة فوائده. 2- أوّل من ابتكره المحدِّثون، وتأثّر بهم غيرهم. 3- كانت نشأته في القرن الثّاني. 4- عُني به المحدِّثون عناية كبيرة؛ فأفردوه بنوعٍ مستقلٍّ في علوم الحديث، ووضعوا فيه المصنّفات المفردة. 5- اختلفت مناهجُ الأئمّة في مصطلح الطّبقة، وتنوّعت اعتباراتهم في التّقسيم على الطّبقات.

Abstract: • The definition of the science of the narrators' categories in the sight of the scholars of hadith, in terms of: its actuality, its origination its importance, and its fruit, and also the methouds wich was used by the imams in dividing by categories, and the books that are written about it. • Methodology of Research: Descriptive Analysis. • Sections: Seven discussions. • Most Prominent Results: 1. Importance of the science of Tabaqaat, the great need for it, and its many benefits. 2. The first to introduce this science from amongst the Muhaddithoon, and how they affected other than them. 3. It originated in the second century. 4. The Muhaddithoon placed great importance on it; they singled it out as a certain science from the sciences of Hadeeth, and they also authored specific books concerning it. 5. The scholars have differed in their methodologies of defining a tabaqah (level), whilst using various phrases in sectioning the tabaqaat. Keywords: science, levels, muhaddithoon, narrators.
