المستخلص: يتناول هذا البحث مفهوم النيَّة عند النحاة، ومدى اعتمادهم عليها في تأويل النصوص التي تخالف القواعد التي استنبطوها من كلام العرب، ومن ثم فهو يمثِّل محاولةً لفهم ما يعنيه النحاة بالنيَّة من خلال تقديم وصفٍ علميٍّ دقيقٍ لمفهومه عندهم، وذلك بالاعتماد على تحليل كلامهم الذي تضمَّن هذا اللفظ أو أحد اشتقاقاته أو مرادفاته، ولبيان مفهوم النيَّة عند النحاة تتبَّع البحث معنى النيَّة في اللغة، وبيَّن أن النحاة أخذوا هذا اللفظ عن علماء الفقه، كما بيَّن أنَّ ثمة فروقًا بين النيَّة عند الفقهاء والنيَّة عند النحاة؛ مما يدعو إلى ضرورة اختصاص النيَّة في النحو بتعريف يميُّزها عن مفهومها في الفقه، ويراعي الفروق بينهما. ولتحديد موقع النيَّة من التأويل عند النحاة تناولَ البحث مفهوم التأويل عندهم، ثم بيَّن مدى اعتماد النحاة على النيَّة في التأويل، وذلك من خلال ذكر المواضع التي ورد فيها ذكر النيَّة عندهم، كما سعى إلى بيان الفروق بين النيَّة وبعض المصطلحات التي تتداخل معها في الاستعمال عند كثير من النحاة والباحثين، مثل مصطلحي الحذف والإضمار، فبيَّن الفروق الدقيقة بين هذه المصطلحات الثلاثة، بعد استعراض بعض مواطن التداخل بينها في الاستعمال. ثم تتبَّع البحث أهم أشكال النيَّة عند النحاة، وقد حدَّدها في عدد من الأشكال، هي: نيَّة الذكر ونيَّة الحذف، نيَّة التعريف ونيَّة التنكير، نيَّة التقديم ونيَّة التأخير، نيَّة التكرار، نيَّة علامات الإعراب ونيَّة حركات البناء.

Abstract: This research deals the concept of intention in the Arabic grammar. It attempts to determine how grammarians depended on the interpretation of Arabic speech; Where the grammarians relied in their interpretations on many matters on intention; Therefore, the term intention and its derivatives came in their books repeatedly. The main subject of this research was to provide a scientific description of the concept of intention in Arabic grammar through the analysis of grammatical speech which included this word or one of its derivatives. It was necessary to define the meaning of intention; to explain the basic of the rule in grammar, to explain why the grammarians depend on the interpretation to analysis the Arabic speech, The research attempted to locate the intention of grammatical interpretation, as one of the means on which the grammarians depened on the interpretation of the speech which appeared to be contrary to grammatical rule. This research attempted to explain the differences between intention and some terms that appear to be similar to intention in meanings, such as deletion and pronoun; therefore, the research explains the difference between intention and deletion , and between intention and pronoun. finally, the research followed the most important forms of intention among the grammarians, and the most important issues that they explained according to intention
