Abstract: This research dealt with one of the military strategies that the sultans of the Bahriyya Mamluk State and the leaders of their military campaigns pursued in more than one war battle; or a expeditionary force against their enemies, the Mongols and the Crusaders, known as the “scorched earth policy,” whether in their progress or retreat. It is a destructive policy against their enemies, focused on the fighting knights, of the Mongols and the Crusaders, and all what serves the military aspect, of castles, fortresses, agricultural crops and others, which deprived the enemies of progress to the Islamic countries, and hindered their military march, and their suspicious movements on the outskirts of Mamluks’ outposts, as well as spreading terror against enemies, dispersing their ranks, and breaking up their political and military alliance, which had the best effect in suppressing the Mongols and stopping their brutal invasions, as well as limiting the Crusader Forces in the Levant, recovering the Islamic countries from their hands one after another, and they were completely expelled from Acre, the last Crusader stronghold in the Levant in the year (690 AH / 1291 AD) during the reign of Sultan Al-Ashraf Khalil Bin Qalawun.
