المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة لاستكشاف مستوى ممارسة رؤساء الأقسام بالجامعة الإسلامية بالمدينة المنورة، لأبعاد القيادة التكيفية، وأنماط اتخاذ القرار من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، والتعرف إلى طبيعة العلاقة بين أبعاد القيادة التكيفية وأنماط اتخاذ القرار، كما سعت إلى الكشف عن القدرة التنبؤية لأبعاد القيادة التكيفية بأنماط اتخاذ القرار. واستُخدم المنهج الوصفي (المسحي: التنبؤي) عبر تطبيق استبانة شارك بها 266 عضواً. وأظهرت النتائج أنَّ رؤساء الأقسام يمارسون القيادة التكيفية بدرجة مرتفعة (م= 3.98). كما أنَّ النمط العقلاني كان الأكثر شيوعاً، ثم التابع، يليه الحدسي، فالمتجنب، وأخيراً التلقائي. وأنَّ العلاقة موجبة بين أبعاد القيادة التكيفية الستة والنمط العقلاني، في حين أسهمَت المتغيرات المستقلة لأبعاد القيادة التكيفية الستة بالتنبؤ بالنمط العقلاني.

Abstract: The study aimed to explore the level of practice of department heads at the Islamic University of Madinah, dimensions of adaptive leadership, and decision-making styles from the viewpoint of faculty members. It also sought to identify the nature of the relationship between the dimensions of adaptive leadership and decision-making styles, and to reveal the predictive ability of the dimensions of adaptive leadership with decision-making styles. The descriptive (survey, prediction) approach was used through the application of a questionnaire which 266 members answered. The results showed that department heads practice adaptive leadership to a high degree (M = 3.98). The rational style was the most commonly used, then the dependent, the intuitive, the avoidant, and finally the spontaneous. Moreover, there is a positive relationship between the six dimensions of adaptive leadership and the rational style, while the independent variables of the six dimensions of adaptive leadership contributed to the prediction of the rational style.
