المستخلص: عرض هذا البحث أحكام أحرف الجر في أساليب التَّأريخ، معتمدًا في ذلك على نصوص نقوش الحجاز في القرون الأربعة الأولى، وهي أصحُّ ما ثبت من نصوص في أسلوب التَّأريخ وفق التَّقويم الهجري. وعني البحث ببيان استعمالات حروف الجر في التَّأريخ، ومعانيها، وأحكامها، مستعرضًا ما ذكره النحاة، ومقارنًا ذلك بما ورد في النقوش من استعمالات، ونتج عن ذلك حصر الأحرف المستخدمة في أساليب التَّأريخ، وبيان حالات استخدامها، وأحكامها، مع التَّوجيه اللُّغوي لها وفق القواعد النَّحوية.

Abstract: The current research describes the rules of prepositions used in the styles of linguistic dating, based on the texts of al-Hijaz inscriptions during the first four centuries, which are the most authentically proven texts on these styles according to the Hijri calendar. The research is concerned with explaining the uses of prepositions in expressing dates of events, their meanings, and rulings, reviewing statements of syntax scholars in this regard, and comparing that with the uses mentioned in the inscriptions. Consequently, the prepositions used in the styles of linguistic dating, the cases where they are used and their rules were identified and stated, with a linguistic substantiation according to the rules of syntax.
