المستخلص: الأوائل علمٌ يعدُّ من فروع علم التاريخ والمحاضرة في الأصل، وبين أيدينا (الأوائل في أصول الفقه) بحثٌ يجمع تاريخ عددٍ من مُهمات المسائل الأصوليّة والمسائل ذات العلاقة والتأثير بها، -مما وقف عليه الباحث - ويتناول باكورة نشأة القول بتلكُم المسائل الأصوليّة وتأثير القول بها على المدارس التي نشَأت بعد ذلك، وذلك من خلال منهج استقراء وجمع وتحليل الأوائل الأصــــــــــــوليــــــّة ونسبـــتها لمن نصّ على نسبتها، وبحث الخلاف في نسبة الأوليّة -إن وجد -مع الاستدلال على ذلك عند اقتضاء الحاجة.
مع إشارة إلى المسألة المذكورة فيها الأوليّة باختصار وإحالتها إلى المصادر الأصيلة في أصول الفقه وغيره، ويتناول البحث مسائل ليست من صلب أصول الفقه إلا أن لها علاقة وطيدة وتأثيراً في أصول الفقه وإن لم تكن منه في الأصل كمشهور مسائل العقيدة واللغة والبلاغة وغيرها.
وينقسم البحث إلى مقدمة في أهمية الموضوع وأسباب اختياره، ومبحثين تتبعهما خاتمة.
المبحث الأول: شرح مفردات العنوان، وفيه خمسةُ مطالب:
المبحث الثاني: الأوائل في أصول الفقه (مرتبة حسب الحروف).
ومن أبرز نتائج البحث:
• أن كثيرا منَ المسائِلِ الخلافيّة في أصُولِ الفقه أصلُها خلافٌ بين المعتزلة الأشاعرة.
• في نظري أنّ تأثُّرَ الخلاف في مسائل عِلم أصُولِ الفقه بمسائل العقيدةِ يأتي في المرتبةِ الأُولى، ثم المسائل اللُّغويّة، ثم الفروع الفقهيّة والأحكام وباقي العلوم.
ويلتزم البحث بالجوانب الفنية المعروفة، وخدمة البحث بفهارس تسهّل الاستفادة منه.
Abstract: Al-Awaail or the Pioneers of the Principles of Jurisprudence (the science that deals with the occurrence of events and incidents according to their habitat and decent) are originally a branch of history. In this research: Al-Awaa il fi usul Al-Fiqh (Al-Awaa il in the foundations of Islamic jurisprudence) is a compilation of the historical development of a number of important Usul cases. Other non-Usul cases that relate to the foundations of Islamic jurisprudence are considered here too. Also pertinent is the emergence of these cases and the rise in differences of opinions that developed amongst latter Muslims.
A comprehensive inductive method (Istiqra) will be employed to compile and analyze these cases, to attribute them to scholars who first mentioned them in relation to Usul Al-Fiqh and to compare differences of opinion – if any – with evidence. The study will also expound on the cases briefly and cite their sources in Usul literatures or other sources.
The paper studied some cases that are not primary to the foundations of Islamic jurisprudence, but have strong relations to the Usul discipline will also be covered in this research. For instance, cases that fall under the subject matter of Islamic creed, linguistics or rhetoric but also relate to Usul Al-fiqh are considered here.
The research is divided into an introduction to the importance of the topic, the reasons for choosing it, and two topics to be followed by conclusion.

The second topic: the Pioneers of the Principles of Jurisprudence (arranged alphabetically).
Among the most prominent results of the search:
• Many of the issues with differences in the fundamentals of jurisprudence have their origin in a disagreement between the Ash'ari Mu'tazila.
• In my opinion, the difference in matters of principles of jurisprudence science is influenced first by matters of creed, then linguistic issues, then jurisprudential branches, rulings and the rest of the sciences.
The study will also define key words and terminologies, give brief biographies of key personalities mentioned in this research and provide appendixes and indexes for easy reference
