المستخلص: الاستدامة في التعليم العالي تزداد أهمية باعتبارها عاملاً حاسمًا في إعداد قادة المستقبل لمواجهة التحديات البيئية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية. وعلى الرغم من أن أنظمة تصنيف الاستدامة العالمية توفر أطرًا لتقييم أداء الجامعات، إلا أنها غالبًا ما تعتمد على بيانات يتم الإبلاغ عنها ذاتيًا، مما يثير تساؤلات حول دقتها وارتباطها الحقيقي بتجارب أصحاب المصلحة الفعلية. تقترح هذه الدراسة إطارًا لتقييم استدامة الجامعات يركز على أصحاب المصلحة، ويعتمد على مؤشرات يمكن قياسها بشكل مباشر من قبل الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والموظفين والخريجين. يبدأ البحث بتحليل مقارن معمق لأبرز أنظمة التصنيف العالمية بهدف تحديد المؤشرات الأساسية لأداء الاستدامة. ثم تم تقييم هذه المؤشرات من حيث قابليتها للقياس من منظور أصحاب المصلحة. وكانت النتيجة إنشاء بطاقة تقييم شاملة وسهلة الاستخدام، تضم فقط المؤشرات التي تتمتع بقدرة عالية على الملاحظة من قبل أصحاب المصلحة وتتوافق مع عدة أنظمة تصنيف. يوفر هذا النهج تقييمًا واقعيًا وموضوعيًا لاستدامة التعليم العالي، حيث يتم اعتبار تصورات أصحاب المصلحة كمؤشر رئيسي للأداء.
Abstract: Sustainability in higher education (HE) is increasingly critical for preparing future leaders to address environmental, social, and economic challenges. While global sustainability ranking systems provide frameworks for assessing university performance, they often rely on self-reported data, raising concerns about their accuracy and relevance to actual stakeholder experiences. This study proposes a stakeholder-centric framework for assessing university sustainability that emphasizes indicators measurable directly by students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The research begins with an in-depth comparative analysis of leading global ranking systems to identify core sustainability performance indicators. These indicators were then evaluated based on their measurability from the stakeholder perspective. The outcome is a comprehensive, easy-to-use scorecard that includes only those indicators with high stakeholder observability and alignment across multiple ranking systems. Such an approach provides a more realistic yet empirical assessment of sustainability in HE since stakeholder perceptions are taken as the key performance indicator.
