قامت فكره هذه الدراسة على تتبع نموذج من نماذج النقد المعجمي، وتناولت نقد أحد أهم الدراسين للمعاجم وهو أحمد بن فارس الشدياق من خلال كتابة الجاسوس على القاموس، في نقده لأحد أشهر المعاجم العربية وهو القاموس المحيط، وفي حقل من الحقول المتعلقة بدلالة الألفاظ وهو النقد السابع فيما قيده في تعاريفه وهو مطلق، ونظراً لكثرة المواضع والتي بلغت أربعة وسبعين موضعا فقد حرصت الدراسة على تحديد حقل الموجودات بما يتناسب مع حجم الدراسة، وقدمت الدراسة بالتعريف لمفهوم التقيد والإطلاق عند أصحاب اللغة والأصوليين، وتناولت الدراسة اثني عشر (12) موضعا بالنظر والتحليل، وتتبعت الدلالات في أشهر المعاجم اللغوية السابقة للقاموس واللاحقة له؛ في محاولة للوقوف على قوة أو ضعف النقد محل الدراسة، ثم وقفت الدراسة على بعضٍ من جوانب القوة والضعف عند الشدياق في نقده للقاموس مع ذكر المواضع التي تظهر من خلالها ملامح القوة والضعف.

The idea of this study based on following the pattern of lexical criticism, it dealt with the criticism of one of the most important scholars of dictionaries, Ahmed bin Faris Al-Shidyaq, through his book “The Spy on the Dictionary” In his criticism of one of the most famous Arabic dictionaries, which is Al-Qamos Al-Muheet, and in one of the fields related to the semantics of words, which is the seventh criticism in terms of what he restricted in his definitions, which is absolute , In view of the large number of subjects, which amounted to seventy-four subjects, the study was keen to define the field of assets in proportion to the size of the study , The study introduced the definition of the concept of restriction and release among language owners and fundamentalists, the study dealt with twelve topics by looking and analyzing , And tracked the indications in the most famous linguistic dictionaries preceding and following the dictionary, in an attempt to find out the strength or weakness of the criticism under study, Then the study focused on some of the strengths and weaknesses of Al-Shidyaq in his criticism of the dictionary, with mention of the places through which the features of strength and weakness appear.
