المستخلص: يتناول هذا البحثُ دراسةَ كتاب الجيم لأبي عمرو الشَّيباني (ت: 206هـ) من خلال عدَّة محاور رئيسيَّة وفرعية، منها: بيان أهمية هذا الكتاب، وموضوعه وغرضه، وحقيقته بين كتب اللغة والمعاجم. ومنها: الحديث عن مؤلّف الكتاب وتقدُّم عصره، ومشافهته لفصحاء العرب، ونتقُّلاته بين بواديهم، وروايته لغاتهم وأشعارهم. ومنها: الحديث عن مفهوم فوائت المعاجم، ومظانها، وأنواعها، والمعاجم المعوَّل عليها في الكشف عنها. ومنها: حصر فوائت المعاجم -فوائت الألفاظ والدّلالات- من هذا الكتاب اللغوي النَّفيس، من خلال باب الجيم منه. ومنها: حصر الأشعار والأرجاز والأمثال التي تفرَّد الشيباني بروايتها ونقلها في باب الجيم من هذا الكتاب. ومنها: الاستدراك والتَّصويب على تحقيق كتاب الجيم -من خلال باب الجيم منه- وبيان ما وقع فيه محقّقه من بعض الأخطاء، عن طريق مقابلة النُّسخة المخطوطة بالمطبوعة. ويعتمد البحثُ على المنهج الاستقرائيّ التَّحليلي، وذلك بمقابلة النُّسخة المطبوعة التي بين أيدينا الآن بالنُّسخة المخطوطة من هذا الكتاب، التي اعتمد عليها المحقّق، وعرضِ المادة العلميَّة -في باب الجيم- على المعجمات العربية القديمة المعوَّل عليها منذ زمن الخليل بن أحمد الفراهيدي في القرن الثاني الهجريّ، إلى زمن المرتضى الزَّبيدي في القرن الثاني عشر، وتحليلها، والمقارنة بين ما ورد في باب الجيم من كتاب الجيم مع ما ورد في تلك المعجمات. الكلمات المفتاحية: أبو عمرو، الشيباني، الجيم، المعاجم، فات، فائت، فوائت، لفظا، دلالة، انفرد.

Abstract: This research discussed the study of Kitaab Al-Jeem by Abu ‘Amr Al-Shaybaani (d. 206 AH), through various major and minor themes, including: the explanation of the significance of the book, and its topics and objective, and its concept among the books of linguistics and lexicons. Also including: a statement about the author of the book and the antiquity of his era, and his oral engagement with the classical Arabs, and his itineraries between their Bedouins, and his narration of their language and poems. Also including: the statement about the concept of omissions in the lexicons, its sources, its types, and the lexicons that could be relied upon in uncovering it. Also including: the counting of omissions in the lexicons –the omissions of words and connotations- from this unique linguistic book, through the chapter of Al-Jeem in it. Also including: the counting of the poems, rajaz rhythms, and the parables whose reporting and narration were unique to Al-Shaybaani in the chapter of Al-Jeem from this book. Also including: Critique and correction on the investigation of Kitaab Al-Jeem –through the chapter of Al-Jeem in it- and the explication of the errors committed by its investigator, through the comparison between the manuscript and the print copy. The researcher relied on the inductive and analytical methodology, through the comparison between the print copy available to us now and the manuscript of this book which was relied upon by the investigator, and the subjection of the scientific material – the chapter of Al-Jeem- to the classical Arabic lexicons relied upon from the time of Al-Khaleel bin Ahmad Al-Faraheedi in the 2nd hijri century until the time of Al-Murtada Al-Zabeedi in the 12th century, and analysing them, and comparing the content on the chapter of Al-Jeem in Kitaab Al-Jeem with the content of those lexicons.
