المستخلص: هدف هذا البحث إلى تحديد درجة توظيف أعضاء هيئة التدريس لكفايات تعليم STEM من وجهة نظر طلاب الكليات العلمية في الجامعة الاسلامية، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف اتبع البحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي من خلال بناء قائمة بكفايات تعليم STEM تم تحكيمها من قبل خبراء، ثم تطويرها إلى استبانة تكونت من (64) كفاية موزعه على أربعة محاور، تم التحقق من صدقها وثباتها، وطبّقت على عينة عشوائية طبقية بلغ عددها (191) طالبا في كليات العلوم والحاسب الآلي والهندسة. وأظهرت النتائج أن درجة توظيف أعضاء هيئة التدريس لكفايات تعليم STEM المعرفية والمهارية والكفايات المرتبطة بالممارسات العلمية والهندسية والتقنية وكفايات العمل المهني كانت بدرجة متوسطة بشكل عام في جميع المحاور، وتراوحت بين متوسطة ومنخفضة ضمن كل محور، كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق داله إحصائيا بين استجابات أفراد العينة في درجة توظيف تلك الكفايات تعزى لمتغيرات (الكلية، التخصص)، وأوصى البحث بعقد دورات تدريبية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في الكليات العلمية حول توظيف كفايات تعليم STEM ومراجعة وتطوير المقررات الدراسية في الكليات للتحقق من تضمينها تلك الكفايات.

Abstract: The main target of this research was to determine the degree of faculty members' use of STEM competencies in scientific colleges from the students' point of view. In order to render such a target, the survey-descriptive method was implemented via designing a list of the instructional competencies of STEM. Such a list was later validated by a bevy of experts to be put into the form of a questionnaire comprising (64) competencies distributed over four dimensions. Validity and reliability were verified. The tool was administered to a random stratified sample of (191) students from the Faculties of Science, Computer and Engineering. Statistical analyses of the data showed that the degree of faculty members' use of the cognitive and psychomotor competencies of STEM pertaining to scientific, engineering and technical practices as well as competencies associated with professional work were generally average in all dimensions. They ranged between medium and low within each dimension. Additionally, the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between individuals' responses in the sample in the degree of using these competencies. This was attributed to the variables of college, specialization. Moreover, the research recommended holding training courses for faculty members in scientific colleges on using the competencies of STEM, reviewing and developing academic courses in colleges to make sure that they include these competencies.
