المستخلص: يحاول البحث تتبع ورصد إنجازات الأندلسيين وابتكاراتهم في هذا المجال نظريًا وعمليًا من القرن الرابع حتى القرن السابع الهجريين/ العاشر-الثالث عشر الميلاديين، من خلال المصادر المختلفة، وقد بيّن أن الأطباء الأندلسيين ساهموا بشكل مميز في الطب بشكل عام وطب العيون بشكل خاص سواءً نظريةً وكتابةً أو تطبيقًا وممارسةً؛ فأثروا المكتبة الطبية بالعديد من المؤلفات الهامة والتي ترجم بعضها إلى عدة لغات أخرى، وتم تدريسها في جامعات أوروبا المختلفة لقرون عدة. كما تبين أن الجانب الأبرز للأندلسيين في مجال طب العيون هو في العمل الجراحي، والذي يظهر أنهم كانوا متقدمين فيه، والأهم أنهم وثقوا هذا الجانب في كتاباتهم بشكل مفصل مزود برسومات توضيحية هامة دللت على دقة وتطور تلك الأدوات والعمليات، تاركين ورائهم إرثًا علميًا هامًا مازال كثيرٌ من منابعه لم يُسبر غوره.

Abstract: The research tries to track and monitor the achievements and innovations of Andalusians in this field theoretically and practically from the fourth century until the seventh century AH / tenth-thirteenth century AD, through various sources, and it has been shown that Andalusian doctors contributed distinctively to medicine in general and ophthalmology in particular, both in theory and in writing. Or an app and a practice They enriched the medical library with many important books, some of which were translated into several other languages, and were taught in European universities for centuries. It also became clear that the most prominent aspects of Andalusians in the field of ophthalmology is the surgical work in which they seem to have advanced, and most importantly, they documented this aspect in their writings in detail with important explanations. He demonstrated the accuracy and sophistication of these tools and processes, leaving behind an important scientific legacy that many sources need to be studied in depth.
